Birmingham has made the shortlist for the UK's first City of Culture 2013 bid, along with Sheffield, Norwich and Londonderry. The last stage of the bidding process now begins with final bids to be submitted to DCMS at the end of May. The winning city will be announced during the summer. Members of the public are being encouraged to give their views on culture at the Big Blank Canvas website.
